Some time ago, we started a precautionary recall for a sports collection product, the via ferrata set SKYSAFE II, as irregularities were detected on the carabiners that could potentially lead to a malfunction of the automatic opening and closing mechanism.
Following our conviction to eliminate all potentially arising problems and always make the right decision for the safety of our users, we would like to revise also the single-sold SKYSAFE carabiners (Article number: H-134).
As using the carabiner in an industrial area is a completely different field of application, a malfunction is highly improbable, but cannot be excluded. Therefore we kindly ask you to send back all SKYSAFE carabiners you have bought from November 2013 to December 2014 for revision.
Here's how to check the serial number on your Skysafe II.
For a speedy exchange for the users concerned, we ask your support. Users can return their SKYSAFE carabiners either to SKYLOTEC directly or to their point of purchase. In case you receive products from users, please inform us via [email protected] when and where the returns can be picked up. We will organise the return transport accordingly.
Important: Please fill in the return form (see enclosure). This allows us to send the revised and reworked carabiners directly back to the users for a speedy return. SKYLOTEC hereby guarantees to take all precautions to ensure the safety of users. Thank you very much for your support!
