The advantages of the Skyline at a glance

Permanent fall protection costs time and money. With SKYLINE 2.0, you reduce both and at the same time increase safety for roofers, maintenance crews, in short, for everyone who has to rely on a reliable safety system for their job.

  • Flexible use on floors, walls or ceilings
  • Simple installation thanks to pre-assembled elements
  • Barrier-free work thanks to intermediate holders and curves that can be driven over
  • Securing of 3 persons at the same time

The SKYLINE 2.0 secures users in fall-endangered areas over long distances - for flexible working without interruption.

The traversable stainless steel rope safety system with a diameter of 8 mm is used for horizontal fall protection and can be installed on the floor, wall or ceiling. It is mainly used on large flat roofs, in production facilities, for maritime applications, at sewage treatment plants and silos or in logistics.

Stretched in almost unlimited length, along fall edges, the system is easily guided around corners and obstacles with special curve elements. The curve element is pre-assembled with an angle of 90°. Thanks to the highly flexible design and cut markings on the rope grommets, the angles of the universal curve can also be adjusted to angles of 120 and 135°. The rope pretension can be freely selected from 80 to 130 kg, depending on requirements. This allows the rope to be optimally tensioned even with multiple curves. The maximum load without triggering the fall indicator is 200 kg.

The rope system can be installed on a wide variety of structures such as steel, concrete or wood as well as appropriate supports. The SKYLINE 2.0 system has a building authority approval (abZ) Z-14.9-869 from the German Institute for Building Technology and is also tested according to EN 795/C:2012 and CEN/TS 16415:2013. The maximum number of users is 3 persons. If the system supports have abZ or ETA approval, the SKYLINE 2.0 can be mounted on them without any problems.

In combination with the SKYLOTEC SECUPINs, the function as a single attachment point is also retained, which provides additional capacity during assembly or use of the system in everyday work. Due to the improved damping/force balancing elements of the SKYLINE 2.0, the force transmission into the substructure is significantly lower, which means that the building structure is not excessively stressed.

The SKYLINE RUN can be hooked in and unhooked from the rope at any point of the facility and glides excellently without rehanging on the intermediate anchors and curve elements. In addition, the carabiner of a certified lanyard can be used instead of a slider. This is a major advantage over previously available solutions because flexibility is increased once again and a glider does not have to be carried permanently for use. A lanyard provides the bridge between the anchor device and the body harness. Provided regular maintenance is carried out, the SKYLINE 2.0 is a reliable partner as a horizontal rope safety system for decades to come.
