Fall protection for tools

Fall protection for tools

Keep your tools under control

We not only protect you from falls, we protect your tools as well!

Before starting work in an area with a potential for falls, it’s important to make a risk assessment of the site so that a safe approach which reduces the risk of falls can be planned. Two things need to be considered - the potential for falling while working as well as the potential for objects to fall from great heights.

Being hit by falling objects is the third most frequent cause of fatal injuries when working at height (accidents at work, DGUV; German Social Accident Insurance). However, this hazard is still underestimated today. Irrespective of the size and weight of the object, with a sufficient fall height, something like a hammer or even a folding ruler can reach a fall speed that is high enough to cause serious or even fatal injuries. In addition to personal injury, equipment can be damaged and tools lost.

Our clever solutions can prevent your tools and equipment from falling. Our fall protection for tools offers simple handling and a variety of use options. The products are designed in particular for use with varied loads which gives them flexibility:

Step 2:

Ensure that the tool surface is clean of any dirt that could prevent
the fixing tape from adhering. Place the side attachment point in
counter-direction to the point of gravity on the tool. Ensure that the side
attachment point does not impede using the tool.
Ensure that the eyelet loop is facing upwards,
as shown in the figure, when placing the pole strap attachment point

Step 3:

Wind the fixing tape snuggly around the tool. It is very important
to tighten the tape when winding it around the tool because that
activates the tape and triggers the self-vulcanizing properties
which creates a secure connection.

Step 4:

As soon as the connection has been made,
test it to ensure that the assembly has been correctly performed.
