SKYLOTEC receives SMS certificate

SKYLOTEC is a manufacturer of personal fall-protection equipment and has stood for safety at the highest level ever since its formation in 1947. This policy has also been adopted in its own company, where there has been no work-related accident of note for many years now. In order to ensure that this continues to be the case and, moreover, to achieve the ultimate goal of “0 accidents”, SKYLOTEC has introduced an occupational health and safety management system for its own processes. This has now been recognised by the “Holz und Metall” (wood and metal) professional trade association, which has awarded the company the “Sicher mit System” (safe with system) seal of approval. With the “SMS” seal of approval, SKYLOTEC meets the requirements of the “Nationaler Leitfaden für Arbeitsschutzmanagementsysteme” (national guidelines on occupational health and safety management systems) and has set up internal structures so that health and safety at work are systematically integrated and taken into account in all operational decisions. Top product quality, optimal economical performance and customer satisfaction can only be achieved, if work processes are structured effectively with regard to health and safety. Therefore health and safety at work is one of the corporate targets, and is also a policy that is practiced to the full within the company itself! Dr. Kai Rinklake, managing director of SKYLOTEC, had the following to say about the award: “We are proud to have received this certificate, since safety forms the bedrock for our company. This award demonstrates that we not only take the highest safety standards into account with our products, but that we also implement these in our company.”
