SKYVEST

Colour system of the pressure points
simplifies correct folding
Neck protection
through targeted stabilisation of the head area when the airbag is deployed, thus reducing the risk of serious cervical spine injuries
Reflectors for 360° visibility
increase safety in poor lighting conditions or in confusing environments
Customisable on request
by applying customer logos or specific labelling for a uniform and professional appearance
Protection of the breech area
to minimise injuries in this sensitive area
Extension set for size extension
with inflator protection
Reusable due to replaceable inflator
the SKYVEST airbag waistcoat contributes to sustainability, as only the inflator needs to be replaced instead of the entire waistcoat.
One size with width adjustment
allows the SKYVEST airbag waistcoat to be flexibly adapted to different body sizes and shapes, ensuring a high level of comfort and a secure fit.
Can be combined with PPE
via chest or back eyelet
Around 50 per cent of all fatal falls from a height happen from a height of less than five metres.
This is precisely where the SKYVEST can be used in a variety of ways – for example, for:
- electricians or building management employees
- lorry drivers
- dockers
- service technicians
- garage builders
- machine maintenance and repair workers
- or even private individuals working on a ladder.
The patented system can also be combined with a PPE harness, for which only a back eyelet extension is required.

‘The SKYVEST closes a safety gap by providing protection before a fall arrest system according to EN 363 is required.’
Michael Stöger, product developer
Correct sensor height for maximum protection
The ideal sensor height for maximum protection against SKYVEST is between 1.7m and 3.2m. Different body sizes and working heights must be taken into account. In addition to fractures (approx. 60%), severe paralysis (approx. 20%) is the most common consequence of falls from a height of less than 3m. Since falls from low heights often end on the back, the SKYVEST was primarily designed as a back protector and thus protects vital body parts. Based on a fall height of 3 metres, biomechanical measurements in comparative tests with and without the airbag vest showed that the acceleration on the 12th thoracic vertebra, for example, was approximately five times lower. With a protective effect that even exceeds the TÜV requirement of 30% many times over, the SKYVEST sets new safety standards.
