In 2021, SKYLOTEC further strengthened its position in the climbing equipment market by acquiring the Italian brand CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY, which has since been integrated into the SKYLOTEC family. CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY specializes in innovative, safe, functional, and user-friendly climbing devices.

The products are manufactured entirely in our facility in Italy – we are one of the largest producers of climbing equipment in Europe. Thanks to extensive experience in development and production, we serve all vertical disciplines, from sport climbing to mountaineering, ice climbing, and via ferrata. Our focus on innovation and safety is at the heart of everything we do and gives climbers the confidence to rely on our products wherever they are.

MORFO BG carabiner

The MORFO BG carabiner was awarded the prestigious ISPO Award. The reason: the innovative BriLock locking system. The jury was especially impressed by how it combines the user-friendliness of a screw lock with the added safety of an automatic closure. When locked, the sleeve rotates freely around itself – keeping the carabiner securely closed even under vibration or challenging loads such as rope movement. The BriLock system is safe, functional, and easy to handle – the reinvention of the screw-lock carabiner.
