Working at Heights "Basic"

Course description

Basic Safety Training 4 Modules is based on Basic Safety Training 4 Modules Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Safety and First Aid.
Upon completion of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training 4 modules, participants will be able to:

  • Correctly assess work situations from a safety perspective and carry out effective rescue measures in various hazardous situations (working at heights)
  • Carry out first aid measures with a focus on the requirements and special features in wind turbines and assess hazards and act preventively (First Aid)
  • Take measures to fight fires with the help of standardized fire extinguishing agents, implement knowledge to prevent fires and carry out evacuations (Fire awareness).
  • To apply the basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology in their daily work when lifting and carrying loads (manual handling).

Target group

All persons working on wind turbines (onshore / offshore).

Participation requirements

  • Valid Basic safety training certificates for the corresponding modules
  • Minimum age for participation is 18 years
  • Medical self-disclosure

They are members of rescue organizations and regularly participate in further training. This guarantees the high quality of our trainings. In addition, the trainers of the Vertical Rescue College are often invited as speakers at various German professional associations to share their knowledge.
