A well-designed fall protection system was required for maintenance work on the large aluminium standing seam roof of the Berlin ice rink – especially in exposed areas at great heights.

The SECU® FALZ 1.0 rope system was used, distributed across four individual systems with a total length of 248 metres and 45 specially adapted Kalzip metal roof clamps. This combination ensures safe and flexible use along the sensitive roof structure. The solution integrates seamlessly into the Kalzip folded roof architecture and provides continuous safety for maintenance personnel – with maximum freedom of movement and protection in accordance with standards.

SECU® FALZ 1.0 TYP KALZIP

The SECU® FALZ 1.0 TYPE KALZIP is a specially developed rope system for fall protection on Kalzip aluminium standing seam roofs. It features robust stainless steel components and form-fitting Kalzip clamps that enable installation without penetrating the roof and ensure long-term safety. The system is ideal for long distances on the roof and offers users maximum freedom of movement while providing reliable protection during servicing and maintenance work.
