SKYLOTEC OPENS
NEW TRAINING CENTER
IN AVIGNON

Avignon, 2 October 2025 – SKYLOTEC GmbH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fall protection systems, personal protective equipment and training for working at height, will open its new training center “Vertical Rescue College” (VRC) on 9 October 2025 in Châteaurenard near Avignon in southern France.

EXTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAMME

The modern indoor training centre is specifically tailored to the requirements of the wind energy sector and will offer a broad range of safety-related training courses for specialists in the wind energy industry. Covering an area of 500 m², with two training structures and state-of-the-art equipment, the VRC enables year-round training regardless of weather conditions. In realistic scenarios, up to three groups of six participants each can simultaneously train safety-related procedures for working at height and rescue operations. The programme includes certified training courses in accordance with international standards, including GWO (Global Wind Organisation), as well as individually tailored courses conducted on realistic structures, such as replicas of wind turbines.

STRONGER PRESENCE IN FRANCE

In addition to the new location in Avignon, SKYLOTEC already successfully operates a Vertical Rescue College in Paris. Together, the two training centres form a strong foundation for meeting the growing demand for certified safety and rescue training in France – for both the onshore and offshore wind industry.

STRATEGIC REGION

The location was chosen strategically: just 100 km from Montpellier, the French capital of the wind industry, the new VRC supports strong growth in the renewable energy sector.
