Inconspicuous, but indispensable as part of the personal protective equipment against falls from a height – these are essential properties of lanyards with integrated shock absorbers. In the event of a fall, they minimise the forces that occur and thus the risk of serious injury. Such lanyards are also part of SKYLOTEC's product range, such as the “Skysafe Pro”. The manufacturer of fall protection systems has now developed this further and presents “Skysafe Pro+”, a new lanyard series with an integrated shock absorber, the size of which has been reduced by 50 % compared to the previous version. During the routine quality check of the last batch of the SKYSAFE carabiner, we noticed that its break values are scattered, even though the hardness tests exhibited no deviations. During an enhanced sampling, erratic values were even determined in a range that is no longer standard-compliant/safety-relevant.

In Salzburg the austrian tree climbing championships took part from the 28th until the 30th July. SKYLOTEC presented a wide range of products used for this job. The Ergogrip Core, the Sidewinder, rope bags, rope pulleys, the PinchLock carabiner and the Kolibri harness have been presented at the event.
